About Flowers Mediation

Blooming Park

At Flowers Mediation we work with people in dispute to find solutions and help you determine your own outcomes, rather than someone else deciding the way forward for you. Your Mediator is independent and does not provide advice or make decisions for you - we provide a confidential process that helps you resolve your own dispute.

We are committed to an ethical and non-judgemental approach to helping you find solutions to conflict through a confidential mediation process. We can improve your access to justice by offering an informal and speedy means of resolving disputes that is less expensive and time-consuming than legal processes.

As an Accredited Mediator (NMAS) and professional, your Mediator is experienced in workplace management and issues impacting on small businesses. We can also work with you to resolve community, personal and neighbourhood disputes that lead to conflict in everyday life.

We take a future-focused and practical approach to helping you resolve your dispute, based on the interests of both parties. Learn more about Our Services here:

About the Mediation Process

Before mediation

After you contact Flowers Mediation, we will meet with you (phone or in person) to discuss your issues, how you have tried to resolve them and consider what the next steps are towards resolution. At this confidential meeting, your Mediator will assess whether the issue is suitable for mediation, describe the mediation process, arrange to contact the other party for a similar discussion and provide you with an "Agreement to Mediate" and cost estimate.

What to expect during mediation

Mediation involves a confidential meeting with people in dispute, facilitated by a qualified Mediator. This can either be on-line (Zoom) or face-to-face.

The mediation meeting enables you to:

  • understand each others' point of view;

  • discuss options and workable solutions;

  • evaluate and "reality test" your options; and

  • if parties agree, come to an agreement to resolve the issues that have resulted in conflict and move forward.

Your Mediator will guide you through this process, with the aim of reaching an agreement that is acceptable to both parties.
